Institut Latihan Perindustrian Kuala Lumpur - ILPKL

Institut Latihan Perindustrian - ILP (Industrial Training Institute) is one of a skills training institute under the auspices of the Jabatan Tenaga Kerja - JTM (Manpower Department), Ministry of Human Resources was established in 1964. The institute was first established by the government to undertake formal vocational training. Starting from a small training center which runs courses for carpentry apprenticeship in some specific areas such as electrical, fitters, printing and carpentry, it has grown rapidly to become one of the public vocational training institutes are the largest.

To realise the Vision 2020 (introduced by the former Prime Minister, Tun Mahathir), the country should develop expertise in existing industries and develop experts in various sectors. The institute now provides a range of technical training programs to meet the demand for skilled labor in the country. With modern equipment and the latest and instructors are skilled and experienced, the institute has been able to step to maintain the characteristics of skills training / vocational accomplished.

Graduates of ILP complemented with knowledge, skills and confidence to seize opportunities in the industrial sector. Recognition of qualifications and experience gained during training has also helped them to continue their studies in higher level in JTM's Higher Training Institute like JMTI, ADTEC and other institutions of higher learning in the country.

The Studies

There are 2 categories of studies, the Full Time Studies where they offer Sijil (Certificate) and Diploma courses. And Part Time Studies.
